A man who tell a woman what to do with her body … is a PIMP! by Humorist Will Roberts
Well it’s official.The country’s conversation has been shifted… or should i say tilted…
We don’t need a poll or a political Analyst to convince us or a Twitter trend to influence us… This shift is as obvious as a Los Angles earthquake.
Now this four letter word has been on the politicians’ lips for the past 9 months and its JOBS! But it seems that since our president has created some of these jobs, or as Republican put it, done a job on Americans, a new wrench was needed to be thrown into this political machine we call the 2012, elections. That tool is called contraception, or the Republican word – religion.
It’s a subject that unlike any other subject can be enjoyed by the masses, well, as long as you’re of voting age. However, it is this cowboy’s opinion that maybe women may have just a little more invested in this subject. More to lose, mainly rights or the lack thereof, or choices.
Now the oddest thing to me about this debate is who’s having it and who isn’t allowed in the clubhouse. Meaning, men are having it; the conversation, and women are not allowed to be part of it. Even though it’s their parts were talking about.
There are two things that strike me as funny:
1. Old guys telling woman what they can and can’t do with their bodies… Now I don’t know about where you live, but here in Vegas they call that guy a pimp. I’ve seen these guys in Washington, pompous maybe, pimp no way!
2. Why is it that all the responsibility falls on the woman on this issue, yet the guy tries to control it? It takes two to tango, but these we’d be better off letting the woman lead…
In the end I will give you my plan, and us guys will have a chance to redeem ourselves.
Anyhow, I see this issue as misscommunicated. See, religious folks see this issue as a direct slap in the face of God. Other folks see this as a church and state issue. If Republicans are for limited government then they must not see the church as political. If this is true, then maybe we should bring the church sex scandals of the past 20 years to their attention…
If you don’t call “Men of God” getting off with a slap on the hand (which I bet they like) and job relocation political then you might be more forgiving then most.
I can tell you that recently having my first baby girl (16 months ago) that my wife and I had a lot of conversations about when it was the right time. However, the question I have for the folks that don’t believe in birth control is, does this apply to married folks as well? Cause there is a right time and a wrong time to start a family, and unless Republican are going to supply a full bottle of aspirin every month to all couples, this might become a very frustrated country if Republicans get into the white house.
I personally have an issue with folks having kids when they are still kids themselves and when they can’t afford to support themselves, let alone a family. Take it from me, a product of a family filled with that struggle and no money. I have a book coming out that will touch on that, so I won’t bore you with my own situation. Besides, you can only make decisions based upon your own experiences.
OK, so here is my plan, and I have to apologize because normally I can find humor in my plans, but this time I will just see if we can find gentlemen to stand up for our women.
The plan: all this talk about that women can’t do this and woman can’t do that… How about a law passed that it is the GUY’S responsibility to provide contraception, for themselves, if not for the woman, then for the man. If the religious folks think it is wrong after a woman becomes pregnant to intervene with creation, then go back to the man and start and finish there.
If we want to allow men to make the decision for women, then maybe men should foot the bill when it comes to protection.
Republicans, if you can’t see women as women, then try changing their names to say… Voters, which might motivate you all a little.

Love this post! More women need to make these kind of statements. I’d do it but being Canadian I have no effect on US poitics. There needs to be many more women who stand up against this! Every female writer, artist, facebookeretc. etc. should be screaming your exact sentiments!!
